After the initial setup, you\u2019re free to coast until you get your check in the mail!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Badmouth_your_vendors\"><\/span>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Badmouth your vendors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Speaking of vendors, they aren\u2019t always angels either! Sometimes they\u2019re just too much to deal with. It\u2019s not <em>your<\/em> fault that the florist showed up with a hundred fewer flowers than your clients wanted. And who better to blow off some steam and rant in front of than your clients? They know all about the extent of your hard work and all those involved in the conflict. And once your party planning clients hear your side of the story, there\u2019s no doubt that they\u2019ll be understanding. After all, they\u2019re the reason you have to deal with these annoying vendors anyways.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, due to planner-client confidentiality, they basically can\u2019t tell other industry professionals what you\u2019ve said. Once they see how popular you are, they\u2019ll give a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2018\/05\/becoming-an-event-planner-in-a-competitive-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">glowing recommendation<\/a> of you to all their friends.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget that at this point, your clients are basically your friends, anyway. You\u2019re throwing them a party for crying out loud! They understand that a professional like you needs to eat. As an artist in your own right, you shouldn\u2019t be expected to churn out original event after original event. Every one of your clients is the same and wants the same things. They sought you out after hearing about your previous work.
