Growing up, my friends and family would ask me to plan their events and weddings. I really enjoyed all the planning elements, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2018\/03\/event-planning-course-sample-the-budget-breakdown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">budgeting<\/a>, logistics and, of course, the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2018\/03\/guide-event-decor-rent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">event decor<\/a>\/design and setup on the day.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_did_you_get_your_start_in_destination_wedding_planning_Would_you_say_this_is_your_business_specialty\"><\/span>When did you get your start in destination wedding planning? Would you say this is your business\u2019 specialty?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2016\/06\/start-destination-wedding-planning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">became a destination wedding planner<\/a> back in 2016. Travelling excites and inspires me, and it\u2019s one of my favorite things to do. Not all weddings are for you. <em>To find your ideal client,<\/em>\u00a0begin with\u00a0<em>a<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>study of yourself.\u00a0<em>Know<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>who\u00a0<em>you<\/em>\u00a0are and what the types of weddings that interest you.\u00a0Once\u00a0<em>you know<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>who<em>\u00a0<\/em><em>your ideal client<\/em>\u00a0is, all of\u00a0<em>your<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>marketing becomes easier.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_has_QC_prepared_you_for_the_wedding_planning_business\"><\/span>How has QC prepared you for the wedding planning business?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>QC\u2019s Event &amp; Wedding Planning Course provided me with useful knowledge and skills to start my own planning company. It gave me the confidence to work with clients from the first meeting right up <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2015\/07\/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-wedding-planner-what-the-big-day-looks-like\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to the day of their wedding<\/a>\/event. Not only did the course teach me about event and wedding planning but it also walked me through the process of starting my own wedding planning business.
