I am also a mother and a wife. I absolutely love spending time at the beach and doing crafts and art projects with my son!<\/p>\n<p>I grew up on Vancouver Island and enjoy the laid-back lifestyle! I grew up in the wedding industry\u2014my dad owns the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dreamweddingshow.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dream Wedding Show<\/a>, so I guess it was just meant to be. I had so much fun organizing, decorating, and planning\u2014I never wanted to do another job! My dad has owned a bridal fair since I was a young kid, so I\u2019ve always been fascinated with weddings. Regarding the name of my wedding planning business, the name actually came from my mother-in-law\u2019s dog. I\u2019ve always loved the name!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_did_you_decide_to_enroll_in_an_online_event_and_wedding_planning_course\"><\/span>Why did you decide to enroll in an online event and wedding planning course?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2017\/04\/planned-wedding-take-wedding-planner-course\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">planning my own wedding<\/a>, I was starting to dip my toes into the world of event planning. And someone suggested that I attend a wedding planning school. How did you make the decision to own your own decor?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2018\/03\/guide-event-decor-rent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">event decor rentals<\/a> has to be one of my favorite parts of my business! It was a super simple decision\u2014my main decor stock stemmed from my own wedding decor! I make a lot of the decor myself or I get local vendors to help make beautiful pieces! My process for it is super simple thanks to Google Drive!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whats_one_thing_you_wish_someone_had_told_you_before_earning_your_wedding_planning_certification\"><\/span>What\u2019s one thing you wish someone had told you before earning your wedding planning certification?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I wish someone told me that the first wedding I plan wouldn\u2019t be all that simple! After you finish the event and wedding planning course, the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.qceventplanning.com\/2016\/07\/surviving-first-year-wedding-planner-part-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">first wedding can be super stressful<\/a>! After I read some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/QCEventPlanning\/reviews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">student testimonials<\/a>, it just made sense! QC&#8217;s curriculum is full of detail and easy to follow! I always love the detail and that I have my course books to refer to at any time.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_your_biggest_career_highlight_so_far\"><\/span>What is your biggest career highlight so far?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I can\u2019t pinpoint one exact big highlight. My favorite projects are actually the smaller ones. Just recently, my husband and I put together an ice cream bar for a local church event. And everyone was in love with it.
