Clients are done with their Christmas shopping and are now making New Year\u2019s Resolutions that often require different services.<br \/>\nConsider these scenarios:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clients who become engaged over the holidays will start looking for planners.\n<li>People who make a resolution to celebrate more special events might likewise want to book a planner to help them out.\n<li>Those who decide on a new career path might ask you to mentor them.\n<li>And I\u2019m sure you can think of more!\n<\/ul>\n<p>So how do you ensure you get a piece of the \u201cNew Year Client\u201d pie?  Smart vendors will beef up their marketing during this time. Think about what type of message you could launch seasonally that will resonate with your specific target audience.<\/p>\n<p>These messages could be along the lines of \u201cNew Year, New You\u201d, \u201cTime for a Change\u201d, \u201cStart the New Year off Right\u201d or whatever other message you think might work.<\/p>\n<p>Just remember: Your target audience has to read your message and think \u201cHey! That\u2019s me!\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"highlight\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Develop_your_content\"><\/span>2: Develop your content<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div style=\"overflow: auto;\">\n<div class=\"half-1\">\n<p>Once you have a great idea for a New Year campaign, think about how and where you can spread the message.  You can develop some targeted content for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your blog\n<li>Your social media accounts\n<li>Your paid advertising\n<li>Your SEO efforts\n<li>Your email marketing campaigns\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"half-2\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"369\" height=\"272\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qceventplanning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Develop-Content.jpg\" alt=\"Develop Content\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2914\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qceventplanning.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Develop-Content.jpg 369w, https:\/\/www.qceventplanning.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Develop-Content-300x221.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 369px) 100vw, 369px\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Of course, you can develop only a few pieces of content and repurpose them for the above channels. The key is to deliver a punchy message for the channel where you\u2019re advertising.<\/p>\n<p>For example, say you write a great blog article about \u201cthings to do after a New Year Engagement\u201d. Your target audience here is pretty clear, right? Ok. Now you can develop Social Media content that links to that article.  You can build SEO strategies around getting more traffic to that one article. You can even run an email marketing campaign for it!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"highlight\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Increase_your_presence\"><\/span>3: Increase your presence<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In addition to spreading your new seasonal content, consider simply upping your game on all channels.<\/p>\n<p>More exposure of your brand\u2014whether it be to your seasonal content or not\u2014will do you some good if you believe there is an increased demand for your services.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of increasing your presence would be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adding keywords and increasing budgets on your paid advertising\n<li>Increasing your blogging frequency (if you typically blog once a week, increase to three or four times a week. If you blog once a month, try once a week or even more frequently during peak seasons.)\n<li>Increase your post frequency on social media (but don\u2019t go overboard!)\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"highlight\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Analyze_your_Results\"><\/span>4: Analyze your Results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div style=\"overflow: auto;\">\n<div class=\"half-1\">\n<p>Very quickly, you should be able to tell if your targeted campaign is working or not.  This is where your website analytics are vital!<\/p>\n<p>Especially if you\u2019re using paid advertising, be sure to closely monitor your spend after you launch your campaign.  You don\u2019t want an irrelevant ad to eat up your entire marketing budget.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"half-2\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"369\" height=\"254\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qceventplanning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Analyze-Results.jpg\" alt=\"Analyze Results\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2908\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qceventplanning.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Analyze-Results.jpg 369w, https:\/\/www.qceventplanning.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Analyze-Results-300x207.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 369px) 100vw, 369px\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>If you\u2019re seeing a large amount of inbound traffic without much other impact (no increased leads or additional client sales, for instance), then likely potential clients like your marketing message but don\u2019t see the continuity when they get to your website.  You might want to consider a targeted landing page in this case.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"highlight\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Remember_to_end_it\"><\/span>5: Remember to end it!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Have you ever roamed the Internet in April only to find an ad for \u201cChristmas Sales\u201d?  It happens.  That\u2019s for one of two reason. Either:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The business plum forgot to take down the ad; or\n<li>The business purposely decided to leave the ad up because it performed better than other ads in the past.\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you\u2019re thinking #2 above is a good idea\u2026 then we need to have words.  Please don\u2019t do it.
