Event Planning Course Materials Unit B
  • Wouldn’t it be great if the sky were the limit when it comes to what you can spend? Maybe so, but in reality every event comes with a budget. We’ll show you how to work with your clients to come up with a budget, how to prioritize elements of the event, and how to ensure your clients’ costs are on track.

  • Enter the world of corporate event planning and learn how to plan internal corporate events. Take a look at numerous events in this category including staff meetings, team-building retreats, and professional development days. With corporate events you’ll need to find out what your client is hoping to achieve and ensure that you can properly evaluate the success of the event after it’s finished. Your client will want to carefully track her investment.

  • Working with corporate clients again, you’ll take a look at the types of events you’ll organize under the external corporate event category. For instance, you’ll look at planning ground-breaking ceremonies, product launches, and client appreciation parties. Remember, since you’re working with a corporate client you’ll have to incorporate strategic goals and measurements of success in your planning.

  • Take a step into the fascinating world of marketing and promotion. We’ll show you how to put together a marketing plan that will lead to clients calling you in no time. Here’s your chance to channel all of your creative ideas towards your own business. To start out, you’ll learn how to create compelling messaging for your company, how to put together a professional website, and how to use digital marketing channels like Google and social media.
