Maryellen Madaio
QC Event School Tutor
Event Planner, Boston University
Maryellen Madaio got her start in event planning at a small publishing company in 1995, where she planned profitable large conferences and tours geared toward readers of the magazine. Through this work experience, Maryellen met many bestselling authors, celebrities, and speakers—including Maya Angelou. The conferences took place all over the United States and the tours were to Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.
Next, Ms. Madaio launched her own business serving as a long-term consultant to a variety of clients. For nearly three years, Maryellen planned events and promotions for an advertising agency and clients included McDonald’s, Dunlop, Easy Spirit, Fidelity, and Royal Caribbean. Over the last decade, Ms. Madaio has worked more in the non-profit sector. An avid animal lover, she ran many lucrative fundraising events for her local shelter. Currently, Maryellen Madaio plans events for alumni and external clients at Boston University.
Maryellen loves the creative and problem-solving aspects of event planning and enjoys a reputation for creating high-quality events with meticulous attention to detail and the bottom line.
