A dynamic event industry leader with over a decade of experience in progressive leadership roles, Alyssa leads the performance of over 30 technical conferences and events across North and South America for a global conference production company. Her experience includes directing operations, negotiating contracts and terms, managing complex budgets, designing and producing events, all while leading a diverse team of event professionals towards achieving financial growth of a multi-million dollar events business.
Alyssa started her career in business development for a world-renown media company, then moved into event management working her way up to the Director of Event Innovations at the Great Lakes Science Center where she led the entire life-cycle of over 80 annual events from concept development to execution. In 2016, she was named the Corporate Event Planner Rising Star of the year by Cleveland Business Connects Magazine.
Alyssa is currently the Head of Operations and Production for North and South America with Smithers where she leads a team of six event managers and conference producers and drives the overall customer experience strategy for the organization.
