1. Chrissy Teigen

When model Chrissy Teigen wed musician John Legend in a lavish, Italian destination wedding back in 2013, she donned not one, but three wedding dresses by designer Vera Wang! Her ivory ceremonial gown featured a strapless open back, full tulle skirt and delicate embroidered detail. 2. Kate Middleton

Everyone remembers the spring day in 2011 when Britain’s Prince William wed his long-time girlfriend Catherine (Kate) Middleton, as her dress was one for the ages. Designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Kate’s gown featured an ivory satin bodice which incorporated floral lace, a full skirt, and a train measuring over 7 metres in length.

Designed by Giambattista Valli, the actress’s dress was a strapless confection made of silk mousseline and organza, and according to Biel it “moved like a dream”.

5. Whitney Port

When designer and actress Whitney Port married her husband in 2015, she chose a unique, high-low gown designed by Ashi Studio. The gown featured a miniskirt in front, a full skirt at the back, and stunning silver embroidery and tiny pearls covering the entirety of the garment. It was actually modeled after a Venetian chandelier (now that’s what we call glitzy!).

6. Princess Diana

Lady Diana Spencer became Diana, Princess of Wales when she married Britain’s Prince Charles in 1981, and her wedding dress became instantly iconic. Designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, the gown was made of ivory silk taffeta and featured both antique lace as well as pearls and sequins.

The most distinguishing feature was a 25-foot train, earning this dress its worthy title as the wedding dress of the century.

7. Salma Hayek

When actress Salma Hayek married husband Francois-Henri Pinault on Valentine’s Day in 2009, she chose a full-skirted, sparkling Balenciaga gown with a silver crystal embroidered bodice and full skirt. This dress was fit for a queen, which suited the wedding budget of $3.5 million!
